Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during complex dental procedures including implants and orthodontics
- Manage digital radiography and intraoral imaging systems
- Oversee sterilization protocols and OSHA compliance
- Train new assistants on clinical workflows and equipment
- Prepare treatment rooms and materials for multi-specialty procedures
- Implement infection control standards per CDC guidelines
- Assist with patient education and post-op care instructions
- Coordinate with dental labs and specialists for seamless care delivery
Qualifications
- Current Washington State Dental Assistant certification (DAEF or DA II)
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital imaging (Sirona, Carestream)
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Experience with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and infection control standards
- Excellent communication skills and patient rapport building
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environments
