Responsibilities
- Accurately process and verify prescription orders using pharmacy management systems
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and cycle counts
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians on best practices
- Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure regulatory compliance
- Maintain sterile compounding environments for IV medications
Qualifications
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 2 years retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in prescription processing
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
