Responsibilities
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations including prescription verification and inventory control
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians on protocols and best practices
- Manage automated dispensing systems and medication compounding processes
- Ensure strict compliance with DEA, HIPAA, and Texas State Board regulations
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to resolve medication-related inquiries
- Implement quality control measures for prescription accuracy
- Supervise sterile product preparation and IV admixture services
Qualifications
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician License (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 3 years experience in retail or hospital pharmacy setting
- Advanced knowledge of compounding procedures and sterile technique
- Proven leadership ability with staff training experience
- Mastery of pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Exceptional attention to detail and error-prevention skills
- Strong communication abilities for patient and provider interactions
