Responsibilities
- Dispense and verify prescriptions accurately using automated dispensing systems
- Manage inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Process insurance claims and third-party billing
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with pharmacists on medication therapy management
- Operate pharmacy information systems (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
Qualifications
- Active PTCB certification or Maryland pharmacy technician license
- Minimum 2 years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy software and automation systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of sterile compounding procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent required
