Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify orders for safety
- Manage inventory control including ordering, receiving, and stocking
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing discrepancies
- Maintain HIPAA compliance in all patient interactions
- Collaborate with pharmacists to optimize workflow efficiency
Qualifications
- Active PTCB certification or equivalent state license
- Minimum 2 years of pharmacy tech experience in retail settings
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math proficiency for compounding and dosing calculations
