Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify medications in compliance with FDA and state regulations
- Manage inventory control systems, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Train and supervise pharmacy technicians on proper procedures and protocols
- Process insurance claims and maintain accurate patient medication records
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve medication discrepancies
- Maintain sterile compounding environments for IV medications
- Implement HIPAA-compliant patient confidentiality practices
Qualifications
- Active Florida Pharmacy Technician license (PhT)
- 1+ years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- CPhT certification through PTCB or ExCPT
- Strong knowledge of medication safety protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
