Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications with precision and adherence to safety protocols
- Lead pharmacy operations including inventory management and controlled substance documentation
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians on best practices
- Collaborate with pharmacists to resolve medication therapy issues
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards
- Utilize pharmacy software for prescription processing and inventory tracking
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 2 years retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy dispensing systems (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medication safety
- Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced clinical environments
- Basic math skills for prescription compounding and dosage calculations
