Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently using automated dispensing systems
- Verify prescriptions for completeness, accuracy, and appropriateness
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation of pharmaceuticals
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality standards
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians on best practices
- Collaborate with pharmacists on medication therapy management
- Prepare sterile compounds and IV admixtures under supervision
Qualifications
- Active Oklahoma Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 2 years retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of drug interactions and pharmaceutical calculations
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail with high accuracy in dispensing medications
- Basic understanding of sterile compounding procedures
