Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields with meticulous attention to detail
- Assist surgeons during complex procedures including orthopedic, neuro, and cardiovascular surgeries
- Manage surgical equipment inventory and sterilization protocols
- Mentor junior staff on advanced surgical techniques and safety standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize surgical workflows
- Document procedures accurately in compliance with JCAHO standards
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- 5+ years of experience in Level I trauma center OR
- Expertise in minimally invasive surgical technologies
- BLS and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Proven track record in leading surgical teams during emergencies
- Associates degree in Surgical Technology or related field
