Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical equipment for complex procedures
- Assist surgeons in orthopedic, neuro, and general surgeries with instrument handling
- Maintain strict aseptic protocols and OR safety standards
- Train and mentor junior surgical tech staff
- Manage inventory and sterilization processes for 8+ OR suites
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential
- 5+ years of experience in Level I trauma center OR
- Expertise in sterile processing and instrument management
- Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification
- Proven leadership in team coordination during emergencies
- Experience with robotic surgical systems preferred
- Ability to stand 8+ hours with manual dexterity
- Background check and drug screening required
