Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure sterile field maintenance
- Assist surgeons during complex procedures with precise instrumentation
- Manage surgical inventory and supply chain efficiency
- Mentor junior surgical technicians on best practices
- Comply with OSHA and Joint Commission regulations
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless operations
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- 5+ years of OR experience in general surgery and specialty rotations
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Expertise in sterile processing and equipment sterilization
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes environments
- Current BLS certification
- Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or related field
