Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments with meticulous attention to detail
- Assist in complex surgical procedures across specialties including orthopedic, neuro, and cardiovascular
- Coordinate instrument/equipment sterilization and inventory management systems
- Mentor junior surgical techs and enforce best practices protocols
- Collaborate with surgeons and nurses to optimize surgical workflow
- Document procedural events accurately in electronic health records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for surgical safety
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent required
- Minimum 3 years of OR experience with complex cases
- BLS certification and surgical instrument proficiency
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing standards (AAMI/AST)
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure surgical environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with robotic surgical systems preferred
- Associates degree in Surgical Technology or related field
