Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Accurately record medical histories and vital signs in EMR systems
- Administer injections, medications, and perform EKGs under provider supervision
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain organized patient records
- Ensure exam rooms are fully stocked and sanitized according to protocols
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate laboratory orders and specimen collection
Qualifications
- Graduate from accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Tennessee Medical Assistant certification (or eligibility)
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build patient rapport
- Attention to detail in documentation and clinical procedures
- Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced environment
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
