Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Administer medications, injections, and immunizations per physician orders
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic laboratory tests
- Manage patient electronic health records (EHR) with precision
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow efficiently
- Explain treatment plans and provide patient education materials
- Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and sterile equipment
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a medical setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Athena preferred)
- Bilingual English/Spanish required (daily patient interaction)
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and OSHA protocols
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Current CPR/BLS certification
