Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vital signs measurement, and electronic health records documentation
- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and minor surgical preparations
- Administer injections, collect specimens, and perform basic lab testing
- Coordinate patient education materials and post-visit follow-up communications
- Manage appointment scheduling, inventory control, and supply ordering
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain strict patient confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA) required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Kentucky medical assistant registration
- Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced clinical settings
