Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, including EKGs and vital sign monitoring
- Prepare patients for clinical procedures and maintain examination rooms
- Administer medications and injections under physician supervision
- Update electronic health records with accurate patient information
- Coordinate patient flow and appointment scheduling
- Perform basic laboratory tests and specimen collection
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medication protocols
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current Pennsylvania Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in hospital setting
- BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environment
