Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and assist providers during medical procedures
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic laboratory tests
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and patient documentation
- Schedule appointments, handle billing inquiries, and manage inventory of medical supplies
- Ensure exam rooms are sanitized, stocked, and compliant with OSHA standards
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional weekends
