Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and diagnostic tests
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient care workflows
- Perform basic laboratory tests and specimen processing
- Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and medical supplies
- Educate patients on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- High school diploma or equivalent required
