Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Accurately record patient history, vital signs, and treatment information in EHR systems
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests and point-of-care diagnostics
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient correspondence
- Maintain sterile exam environments and inventory of medical supplies
- Coordinate patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency with electronic health records (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills and cultural competence
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume setting
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
