Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Assist physicians during clinical procedures and diagnostic tests
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and confidentiality
- Sterilize equipment and maintain examination rooms to OSHA standards
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Graduate from accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Current CPR/BLS certification and active DC medical assistant license
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and cultural competency
- Ability to multitask effectively in high-pressure situations
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
