Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient intake, including vital signs, weight, and medical history collection.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and manage medical supplies efficiently.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers, strictly adhering to safety protocols.
- Process and maintain patient records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems accurately.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and insurance providers to facilitate treatment plans.
- Assist with basic laboratory tasks and EKG procedures.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current New York State licensure or registration.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or outpatient setting preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first approach.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
