Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by reviewing their medical history and recording vital signs accurately.
- Assist physicians during exams and procedures, ensuring a sterile and safe environment at all times.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, administer medications as directed, and prepare injections.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately and confidentially.
- Handle patient billing and insurance verification with precision to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area for all patients.
- Collaborate with the front desk team to minimize wait times and improve patient flow.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical setting preferred.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with EHR software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse patient populations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation (optional but preferred).
