Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and clinical procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and point-of-care lab testing
- Administer medications and immunizations per provider protocols
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain sterile environments
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant program certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities
- New Mexico MA license (or eligible)
