About the Role
You will be the face of our practice, ensuring our patients feel comfortable and cared for. We value reliability, professionalism, and a genuine desire to help others.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Prepare patients for examination by the physician or nurse practitioner.
- Assist with minor medical procedures and prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens, including blood draws and urine samples.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide patient education regarding medications, procedures, and health maintenance.
- Manage front desk duties such as scheduling appointments and answering phone inquiries when needed.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent certification (CMA, RMA, or MA).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Attention to detail and adherence to HIPAA compliance standards.
