Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse, accurately and timely.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, transferring them safely between bed and wheelchair or chair.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment in accordance with hospital infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities, intake, and output in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies during the shift.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the state of California required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient dignity and respect.
- Reliable transportation to and from the San Francisco location.
