Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments following strict hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes or emergencies immediately.
- Document patient care activities, observations, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other staff members to ensure holistic patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to lift, move, and position patients as necessary.
