Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs, patient intake, and accurate medical history documentation.
- Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean clinical environment.
- Manage patient flow and coordinate appointments to optimize clinic efficiency.
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and EKGs as required.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding follow-up care and instructions.
Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, or NCMA is highly preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong computer proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical setting.
