Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals, and medical history documentation accurately.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare exam rooms with necessary medical equipment and supplies.
- Administer injections, medications, and vaccines as directed by providers.
- Manage patient records using EHR systems and ensure data integrity.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding test results and follow-up care.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and OSHA safety standards.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or AHA.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician office or clinic setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a high-volume team environment.
