Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, including recording medical history and current symptoms.
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rate.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and minor procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, handle insurance verification, and manage referral processing.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) is a plus.
