Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and vital signs monitoring to ensure accurate medical records.
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by licensed personnel, following strict safety protocols.
- Maintain and sterilize medical equipment and exam rooms to ensure infection control standards.
- Manage patient flow efficiently to minimize wait times and enhance the overall patient experience.
- Collaborate with the nursing staff to coordinate patient care plans and follow-up appointments.
- Handle confidential patient information with strict adherence to HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or outpatient setting preferred.
- Strong proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems, such as Epic or Cerner.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Ability to lift, stand, and move around the facility for extended periods.
