Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with examination rooms and equipment.
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and administer medications as directed by physicians.
- Assist providers with procedures, including drawing blood (Phlebotomy) and administering injections.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic health records (EHR) promptly.
- Greet patients and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Manage front desk duties, including scheduling appointments and answering phone inquiries.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong computer literacy and experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for local travel.
