Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring sterile environments and proper instrument sterilization
- Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and minor surgical assistance
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient flow, schedule appointments, and handle insurance verification
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient experiences
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory or hospital setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- Excellent phlebotomy and venipuncture skills
- Strong interpersonal communication and patient empathy skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environments
- California MA license in good standing
