As a Medical Assistant, you will be the face of our clinic, ensuring our patients feel comfortable and cared for from the moment they walk through the door. You will work closely with physicians and nursing staff to deliver seamless healthcare services. Responsibilities
- Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly, verify demographic information, and prepare them for examinations to ensure a smooth check-in process.
- Vital Signs & Assessment: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight, and report any abnormalities to the provider.
- Administrative Support: Manage appointment scheduling, maintain electronic health records (EHR), and handle insurance verification and billing inquiries.
- Clinical Procedures: Perform routine clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, wound care, and basic laboratory testing as directed by the provider.
- Medication Management: Assist with medication reconciliation and prepare patients for prescribed treatments.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients and the medical team, answering questions and providing clear health education.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification: Current certification as a CMA, RMA, or NCMA preferred (ARRT certification is a plus).
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician practice setting.
- Skills: Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth) and strong computer literacy.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a strong commitment to patient confidentiality.
