Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist providers with patient examinations, take vitals, and prepare patients for procedures.
- Phlebotomy: Perform venipunctures and blood draws accurately and efficiently.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient records, update electronic health records (EHR), and handle insurance verification.
- Lab Testing: Collect and process laboratory specimens according to strict safety protocols.
- Communication: Greet patients warmly, answer phones, and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Compliance: Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and clinic policies to ensure patient confidentiality and safety.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA or RMA certification from an accredited institution is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or medical office setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in phlebotomy and basic medical equipment operation.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technology: Comfortable using electronic health record systems (EHR) and computer software.
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or evenings as needed.
