Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Document all patient interactions and care interventions accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and code blue situations.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- ACLS certification preferred (will be required within 6 months of hire).
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Demonstrated compassion and commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
