Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intakes, including verifying insurance and updating medical records.
- Measure vital signs, record patient history, and prepare patients for examination.
- Assist providers during exams and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Perform venipuncture and basic laboratory tests, including phlebotomy.
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by providers.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized clinical environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical setting preferred.
- Proficient in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical demands.
