Responsibilities
- Assist providers with clinical procedures and patient examinations
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and patient documentation
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Administer medications and immunizations under provider supervision
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule management
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Spanish bilingual proficiency highly valued
- Ability to multitask in dynamic clinical settings
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional travel between sites
