Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient assessments, including taking vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) and recording medical history accurately.
- Prepare patients for examination and assist physicians during medical procedures.
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in our Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
- Coordinate with laboratory services for sample collection and test processing.
- Ensure patient rooms and equipment are cleaned and sterilized according to hospital protocols.
Qualifications
- Certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program is highly preferred (Associate's degree is a plus).
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained prior to start date.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients safely when necessary.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and basic computer skills.
