Responsibilities
- Perform basic patient assessments, including measuring vital signs and recording medical history.
- Prepare examination rooms and medical instruments for patient visits.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during exams and procedures.
- Manage patient intake, including scheduling appointments and updating electronic health records (EHR).
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary environment in accordance with healthcare standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program (CMA, RMA, or NA) preferred; on-the-job training available for dedicated candidates.
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with electronic health record systems.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Current BLS certification is a plus.
