Responsibilities
- Patient Intake: Greet patients warmly, verify demographic information, and update patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, and respiration rates.
- Assist Providers: Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians and nurse practitioners with clinical procedures.
- Phlebotomy & Labs: Perform basic blood draws and collect urine/saliva samples for laboratory analysis.
- Admin Support: Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and handle insurance verification requests.
- Injections: Administer immunizations and medications as directed by licensed providers.
- Sanitation: Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized clinical workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
- Experience: No prior medical experience is necessary; we provide full training for entry-level candidates.
- Certification: Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) is preferred but not mandatory for this role.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office or EHR software.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds.
