Responsibilities
- Assist providers with patient exams, vitals, and medical history taking.
- Prepare patients for procedures and sterilize medical equipment.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, including phlebotomy and EKGs.
- Manage patient intake, check-in, and check-out processes efficiently.
- Update and maintain electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care instructions.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a Medical Assistant program is a plus but not required for this entry-level role.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Must be willing to obtain required certifications within a set timeframe.
- Compassionate demeanor and a genuine interest in patient care.
