Responsibilities
- Patient Intake & Triage: Conduct patient check-ins, verify demographics, and record vital signs accurately during virtual and in-person visits.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient scheduling, handle incoming calls, and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) with precision.
- Assist Providers: Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Health Education: Educate patients on preventative care, medication instructions, and lifestyle changes as directed by physicians.
- Compliance & Privacy: Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations and maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and order necessary medical supplies and office inventory to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant Certification is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level applicants.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Technical Proficiency: Basic computer skills and familiarity with medical software or EHR systems (training provided).
- Reliability: Ability to work independently in a remote setting with a high degree of accountability.
