Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital signs measurements, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight.
- Prepare patients for examination and assist physicians during medical procedures.
- Manage patient records accurately, including updating electronic health records (EHR) and maintaining confidentiality.
- Assist with laboratory tasks, including drawing blood and preparing specimens for analysis.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, and follow-up appointments efficiently.
- Provide patient education on preventative care and treatment plans.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred; Entry Level candidates with strong healthcare interest are encouraged to apply.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Basic Arrhythmia Certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate electronic medical records systems.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between locations.
