Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, injections, and phlebotomy
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Handle administrative duties including scheduling, billing codes, and inventory management
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Coordinate care between departments and external providers
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory or hospital setting
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or experience preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Strong interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
- Attention to detail in documentation and inventory management
