Responsibilities
- Perform clinical procedures including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and wound care
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments
- Uphold HIPAA compliance and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant certificate or associate's degree
- Current MA certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Excellent phlebotomy and venipuncture skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and rotating shifts
- BLS/CPR certification required
