As a Medical Assistant, you'll be integral to our patient-centered approach, providing clinical support across diverse specialties. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Administer injections and medications as per physician protocols
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Maintain sterile exam environments and inventory control
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant diploma or associate's degree (CMA preferred)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- BLS/CPR certification and current MA license in Massachusetts
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Athenahealth, or similar)
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments with attention to detail
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including evenings/weekends
