Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient intake, including taking vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature) and recording medical history.
- Assist providers during examinations by preparing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians and licensed nurses.
- Prepare and maintain accurate patient charts and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and manage referral requests.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as EKGs and blood draws.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient comfort and privacy (HIPAA compliance).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
