Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during examinations and medical procedures
- Prepare patients for visits and take accurate vital signs
- Perform clinical tasks including EKGs, phlebotomy, and lab processing
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision
- Administer medications and immunizations per protocols
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked, sanitized, and compliant with OSHA standards
- Coordinate patient flow and communicate effectively with care teams
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant certificate or associate degree
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings/weekends
- Michigan Medical Assistant certification required
