Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures including patient exams, injections, and wound care
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic lab tests
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and confidentiality
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical instruments per OSHA guidelines
- Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and preventive care
- Coordinate referrals and communicate with specialists efficiently
- Support front desk operations including appointment scheduling and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Active MA certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, eClinicalWorks preferred)
- Excellent communication skills and cultural competency
- Ability to adapt to flexible shift schedules with advance notice
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
- Valid California driver's license for occasional travel between sites
