Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals, and medical history collection with accuracy and empathy.
- Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean clinical environment.
- Manage patient scheduling, confirm appointments, and update electronic health records (EHR) efficiently.
- Draw blood and collect laboratory specimens for testing according to strict protocols.
- Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and wellness programs.
- Handle front desk administrative duties, including answering phones and processing insurance verification.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records and medical software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to varying patient volumes.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for occasional on-site requirements).
